Para Ti began activities
in 1990 when Gaston Solares, an executive in Sucre's beer industry,
decided to change direction and invest in a local chocolate factory
that had been in existence for 5O years. It all began with three
machines that, over the span of a few years, multiplied into
20 - some built in Sucre and others imported from the United
States and Europe. The additional machinery allowed Para Ti to
increase, improve and diversify the product line. All Para Ti's
chocolates are produced with cacao from Beni and Alto Beni in
North-Eastern Bolivia. Although the chocolates are now made by
machines, the molding and packaging is still done by hand.
A tour of the Para Ti plant
is an experience in itself, as is every one of our chocolate
varieties. It's one of Bolivia's most modern companies, headed
by experienced executives, many of whom received their chocolatier
education in Europe. They are very passionate about their jobs
and know the details of how each chocolate is produced and how
each of the machines works. Para Ti has very strict hygiene rules
and a rigorous detailed production process. So the quality, consistency
and flavor of our chocolates are guaranteed.
